Tehran, the capital of Iran, is one of the world’s largest and most populous cities. With a rich history, it is known as a historical and cultural center in the region. With a population of over 9 million people, Tehran signifies cultural and economic diversity within the city.
Tehran is a multifaceted city. On one hand, it can be the most vibrant cultural and artistic hub of Iran, with exhibitions, theaters, museums, and large cinemas. On the other hand, Tehran is a moderate economic and commercial center in the region, hosting one of the most energetic job markets.
The city boasts a significant cultural diversity, with people from various ethnic and religious minorities, including Persians, Azerbaijanis, Kurds, Baluchis, Gilaks, Armenians, and Zoroastrians, living together. This cultural diversity has resulted in a variety of cuisines, music, and arts in Tehran.
Tehran is home to many historical sites, including the royal complexes of Golestan, Sa’dabad, and Niavaran, where the last two dynasties of the former Imperial State of Iran were seated. Tehran’s landmarks include the Azadi Tower, the Milad Tower which is the world’s sixth-tallest self-supporting tower, and the Tabiat Bridge.
